Amy's rewards smart preparation

Amy’s Gran Fondo is one of the standout cycling events on the Australian calendar.

You are not just preparing to cover 122 km.

You are preparing for an early climb out of Lorne, repeated elevation through the Otways, changing terrain, fast sections, fuelling demands and the challenge of producing a strong ride when fatigue starts to build.

If you are racing the age group event, pacing and preparation matter even more. The top 25 percent in each age group earn an invitation to the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

Fitness matters. Execution matters too.

Your Amy's result is built before race day

A strong result on in September is not created in the final few weeks.

It is built through consistent training, targeted climbing work, the right endurance volume, smart recovery and a clear taper into race day.

Starting now gives you time to prepare properly without trying to cram fitness at the last minute.

You can build your aerobic engine, improve your ability to climb under fatigue, practise fuelling, sharpen your pacing and arrive in Lorne knowing you have done the work.

The Amy's Gran Fondo Performance Program

This is not a generic training plan.

The Amy’s Gran Fondo Performance Program is a structured coaching pathway built around the real demands of the event.

Your program is delivered through IntervalsICU and shaped around your current fitness, available training time, strengths, weaknesses and goal for the course.

Whether you want to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, beat your previous time or ride the course strongly from start to finish, the goal is the same.

Build the fitness, strength and execution skills to perform on race day.

This is not for everyone

This program is not for riders looking for a random PDF plan or a last minute fitness hit.

It is for riders who want a clear pathway to race day, individual coaching and a training structure built around their goal.

If Amy’s matters to you, now is the time to start.

Coaching built for real riders with real goals

Surge Coaching helps cyclists build fitness, strength and confidence through structured, individual coaching.

Your training is built around your life, your goals and the demands of your event.

For Amy’s, that means more than just doing long rides.

It means building the right fitness at the right time, learning how to climb under fatigue, practising fuelling, pacing the course properly and arriving on the start line prepared.
